Access and confidentiality

Dovre Sertifisering, hereinafter referred to as DSE, shall at all times treat information from its customers (the business) as confidential, unless otherwise agreed with the customer.

DSE is obliged to follow procedures that ensure the protection of property rights and confidential information, including when stored on password-protected media.

In connection with certification, DSE may receive information from the customer (business) that is confidential. This can be information about manufacturing processes, market conditions, specifications, the scope and/or value of the products. Confidentiality regarding this information is respected at all times.

Documents, reports, drawings, test data, etc, are made available to, produced on request from or by DSE, can be copied and retained by DSE if this is necessary for the execution of the agreement or in accordance with the applicable certification regulations and rules. The customer retains all rights to intellectual property rights of the equipment, support equipment and technical documentation, this also applies to patents, trademarks, copyrights and trade secrets.

All personnel who receive confidential information shall be informed that confidentiality shall be respected. Distribution of confidential information shall be limited to those persons who are classified to receive such information.

Norsk Akkreditering will have the right to be able to see this type of documentation as part of the process by supervising DSE as an accredited certification body. Furthermore, confidential information may be disclosed to the authorities in compliance with laws and regulations. DSE will then, if not prevented by law, inform the customer (business) about the information that has been disclosed.
